I love the New Year for the same reason I love Mondays – heck, even mornings: They all offer a chance to start fresh with a blank slate.
I know there are plenty of people who turn their noses up at New Year’s resolutions. They prefer “goals” because “resolutions” doesn’t sound serious enough. Like only dilettantes do resolutions.
If that’s the case, then I’m the queen of the dilettantes because I love New Year’s Resolutions. Just like goals for the serious-minded, they give me something to strive for.
